    I really enjoyed this - the vast majority of it worked really well and I think it only started to come apart a bit toward the end. It did try to cram perhaps too much into its run time and things did suffer but it's also miles better than most stuff out this year (and X3 and Wolverine). I wasn't sure McAvoy would work as Prof.X but was pleasantly surprised, same too for Kevin Bacon. Fassbender was very, very good but no one else seemed to get much of a look in. I'd be interested to know if there was a longer cut in existence.
