This movie has no right to exist.

I mean, Clue took the original concept of the game and elevated it into something somewhat unique and original. Meanwhile, if you have seen Transformers 2, this movie is basically it, but the human scenes now encompass HALF of the movie. The effects even reuse some sounds from the TF reboot, as if we needed any more reminders that ILM did the effects.

The story is woeful, some strange romance plot is dropped approximately 5 minutes in in favor of an extended commercial for the navy, and by the time the aliens arrive to wreck shit up, you'll be rooting for them, let me tell you. You can probably predict how the movie ends, so I won't go any further with that.

On an ending note: The aliens missiles are shaped like Battleship pegs. No, I am not kidding. Yes, this is the only justification that this is a Battleship movie. No, thankfully nobody says "You sunk my Battleship!," I would have probably stopped watching and burned my computer if that was the case.

Battleship: Watch it for the special effects, if you can stand a crap movie surrounding them.
