Robin Hood 1991

Grant Berridge’s review:
Slightly bad, quite campy and not very well told version of the Robin Hood legend.
The cast doesn't gel as a team, and the camaraderie that the tale requires is uncomfortable and forced. In particular, Uma Thurman is centuries out of her comfort zone, and her early '90s look is spectacularly inappropriate.
As you might expect, there is a lot of sword fighting but the quality of the choreography is similar in quality to a high-school play. Where was Bob Anderson? Oh. He was busy making By The Sword... oops.
The real hero in this film is the foggy, wintry landscapes of Cheshire, about 100 miles west of Nottingham. Absolutely beautiful. Very similar in texture and treatment to Monty Python's The Holy Grail.
