grooveman’s review:
This film hurt my head. Not in a cool trippy way, more like a high school science way. I usually really like "mind-fuck" films but this one was pretty boring. I don't think I care enough to give this a rewatch to see if it actually makes any sense or not.
All I remember is that an indoor storage unit is somehow involved. YEP!
I had heard nothing but good things about this. It's pretty bad.
It wasn't so much the fact that it didn't make sense, for me. It's the fact that it was just really, really dull. I think there was probably a great idea in here somewhere, but I don't know where the hell it went.
Agreed Steve! How could a time travel movie be so boring.
This is the only film I have ever watched back-to-back-to-back in the same day (regular-with commentary-regular). One of my favourites and I thought the science of it was brilliant and engaging, particularly for such a low budget film. Guess it's not for everyone though.
@Lee. I really wanted to like this too. I couldn't imagine watching it back-to-back-to-back. I had trouble getting through it once, but like you said it's not for everyone. This reminded me of Aronosky's Pi but I loved Pi and hated this.
Never before did I actually *want* exposition in a film. Mulholland Dr. makes more sense.
@Ryan. I agree. I was really disappointed by this.
The story actually does make sense but the movie is just not well executed.
