Wow!! I really dig revenge films and this one did not disappoint. I'd seen both Oldboy and Lady Vengeance but for some reason didn't get around to this one until now. This might be my favorite of the trilogy.
I think it's the best by a long shot. Old Boy gets all the plaudits but for me it is too cartoony. Sympathy is just out and out tragic and the look of it is stunning. The way the colour gradually washes out over the course of the film.
Just re-watched this one for the first time in years a couple days ago. Used to consider it my least favorite of the trilogy, but now I'd say it's my second favorite (with Lady Vengeance being my first). All incredible films though.
Definitely my favorite of the 'Vengeance trilogy.'
Yeah it really blew me away. Now on to Oldboy.
