I had never seen this before so I don't have any nostalgic connection to it, but this is a really cool movie. I don't even want to know how long it took to make those puppets. I kinda wish I hadn't seen Team America because I had trouble taking this thing seriously at times. A really hip kids film!
Nice! Glad it scored above a 3 star.
Yeah it was a fun little flick. I used to watch Labyrinth all the time when I was young so I'm surprised I never checked this out.
yeah, this and Labyrinth were on heavy rotation as a kid. I'll have to give that a re-watch soon too.
This film always creeped me out as a kid. Those big, slow walking creatures, especially. Jim Henson rules though.
This is a favourite of my girlfriend. My mum bought her the box set of the 2 films remastered. Despite what you say about the making of the puppets, you should definitely see the making of that comes with this film.
It really is amazing. I love the fact that this was such a political film. Y'know, for kids.
Damn creepy movie when I was a kid. Recently saw it at a local theatre and I thought it held up quite well; still creepy in parts and it's really just a solid, kids adventure film. Some of that puppetry is truly amazing.
It's also amazing HOW he designed the puppetry, like the scene in the wood/grassland with all the plants and animals
Yeah the puppets looked great in this!!
I just found this on blu-ray for 10 bucks at walmart. Hopefully it looks great.
Hope you like the documentary
@mudshark. I'm excited to check the documentary out.
