Letterboxd — Your life in film

I don't know how I feel about this yet but I think I liked it. I was not a fan at all of Primer but the fact that I'm willing to rewatch this to see if on a second watch I get it must be a good thing. Or I might realize it's just a pretentious remake of Babe. I don't know if I've ever been so confused watching a film before but I definitely wasn't bored. It's shot great and all the Malick comparisons are warranted. I think a rewatch is in order soon. Am I Me? Am I Human? Fuck!!!!

I'm actually very surprised how much I dug a film about male strippers. Tatum and McConaughey were great but I mostly credit Soderbergh. I really hope he continues to make more films. I'd definitely watch this again.

Extremely overrated but it has the odd funny moment.

A cool film from Brandon Cronenberg (David's son) and he definitely takes after this fathers body horror themes. A solid well shot debut.

The revenge genre is one of my favorites and this is one of the best. You know a film is badass when even the good guy is a crazy motherfucker. Some of the best genre films are coming out of Korea.

I forgot just how brilliant this film is and how much Adam Sandler doesn't suck in it. I think this is Anderson's best next to There Will Be Blood. If more romantic comedies were like this I wouldn't dread the genre so much.

I've been having a really good day today so I decided to watch this again. This film should be called "Buzz Killington: the film." I love it but hate it for how depressing it it. Bjork is brilliant in this but man it's a downer.

The debut of the hockey mask is cool but the real reason to watch this is for the hilarious 3D gags. The fact that someone gets chopped in half while doing a handstand is pretty great also.

A fun enough Sci-fi Actioner with big Will.
