Although not necessarily "the most terrifying film you will ever experience", "Evil Dead" is a trill ride of gore and violence. It stands apart from the original, and it definitely holds it's own. While honoring it's predecessor, "Evil Dead" strays away from the classic, paving its own modern story. There are definitely flaws and unanswered questions, yet it might be on purpose... I hope Fede Alvarez has some more plans for the future. He did a fantastic job that I'm sure many ED fans will appreciate.

My biggest requirement for making a good film is having a good story. Showing things for a reason. Have characters and interactions have a specific function in order to tell the story. "Oz: The Great and Powerful" pulls that off for me. Filled with magic and beauty, this is a very handsome and charming film. The ending is fantastic. Raimi has once again earned my heart with this amazing prequel. It ties perfectly into "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." Go see it in theaters!

Heavily reminiscent of Zak Bagans in "Ghost Adventures", "Grave Encounters" is a very original found footage film packed with great moments. There was a very interesting plot, and the story kept my interest after the initial twist. I was very pleased with the action and the practical effects. The special effects, on the other hand almost took away from the action, but "Grave Encounters 2" provides more information that makes this film just a bit scarier. Great fun, I highly recommend it.
