This is definitely one of the most gorgeous films I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. I never thought that government propaganda could be done with such beauty. The film is compromised of several short stories about the plight of common Cubans and without a doubt the one about the poor farmer is the most emotionally gripping. That's not to say that the others aren't well done as well.

Have strong leftist views? You'll love this film.
Have strong right wing views? You'll still love this film.

Took everything great from the 1984 version and completely ruined it. No suspense, no practical effects, no RUSSELL, no originality.

Perhaps if it was stand alone film, it'd be a mediocre monster flick.

This was both one of my first horror movies and my first Hitchcock film and I still love to this day. It sounded silly when I first read the synopsis as a kid but man did it freak me out. It's not a perfect film(mainly in acting department), but it will definitely keep you interested throughout.
