Sam Powell’s review:
A brilliant Sci-Fi concept pulled off relatively well. Bruno Lawrence puts in a commendable performance, but the supporting cast are weak - Alison Routledge especially, who is often irritating.
After a brilliant start, the film's quality declines, yet remains an enjoyable watch for any fan of science fiction.
My thoughts exactly.
Thank you Dem. I'd really like to see this film remade, this version felt like a few more script revisions were needed to push it that little bit further. It should have become a classic.
I was actually thinking the exact same thing after seeing it. We're getting remakes of Total Recall when we should be getting a remake of this. There's so much a better director could do with this story.
