Hanky’s review:
This one of my all time favorite movie. Charlie Chaplin is probably one of the most professional director of all time. During the production of this movie, Chaplin could spend weeks preparing a scene, because he was acting the leading role and directing the movie he tended to use extras to act the scene so he could see it through the camera. Chaplin did everything right with this, even Hitler, the man he was mocking in his role as the Dictator found it amusing. Since Hitler in his books and writings expressed hatred towards Charlie, gives me a significant impression that this movie is perfect. In a dark time, this movie gave people hope and joy.
