Requiem for a Vampire 1971
Watched Jul 02, 2012
John Carpenter’s review:
“Requiem for a Vampire” is a unique viewing experience. It plays almost like a silent film as the story progresses mainly with music and onscreen actions, but the limited dialogue does provide an intriguing story. Jean Rollin, who absolutely loves this film, tends to explore the sexual side of things rather than focus on two virgins stumbling upon a group of down and out vampires. These kinky scenes may stimulate some, but others may find them a little hokey. Regardless, “Requiem for a Vampire” is not only an entertaining movie; it is a damn fine Blu-ray. Kino’s Redemption label continues to impress with their audio, video and extra features. Anyone who has been clinging to older DVD releases should not think twice about upgrading. Sounds like it would make a better porn. ; )
lol...It borders on that at times. I will post more of a review in the near future. Are you a Jean Rollin fan?
I guess not because I'm not familiar with his work.
The review is up. I also have one posted for RAPE OF THE VAMPIRE. You may be able to see if the Jean Rollin vibe is right for you.
