In Bruges 2008

Harlequin’s review:
Extremely funny, but very slow. It felt a lot like they went with screen material for 20 minutes, but stretched it to 107 instead.
I can't really make my mind up. On one hand, I absolutely loved the humour, and both Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes did such an amazing job. But on the other hand, it had no deeper plot line. What you see is what you get type of thing.
No, I changed my mind.. I can't like a 3 star review of this film :P
What? But it's sooo gooood! :D
Initially, I went with 2½ stars. Thought it would be a little too harsh, and went with 3 instead.
CRIKEY. I love it. I love the twist, I love the ending, the 3 stars all play blinders and it's funny. I loved it so much that I dragged my girlfriend to Bruges about 3 months later!
@Daryl. Haha, I'm pretty sure my attitude towards it would be the same as Ray. I'd rather go somewhere nice and warm.
Fuckin' Bruges.
It's a nice place! I would recommend The Guard to you, but if you give that 3 stars I may cry.
I'll try to be nice. But no promises. Added it to my recommendations list.
@Daryl - The guard is brilliant, it's a great film. The soundtrack is class, sounds like a western!!
As for this I really liked it, thought the 3 main cast were brilliant.
I just picked up the Guard on DVD, a double bill with In Bruges could be in order.
I really enjoyed this film, but hey we all have our preferences.
I'd also recommend The Guard. I really liked it.
Just for the record, I never said I disliked In Bruges. A 3 star rating is more than average.
And that is really my overall feeling towards it. Not amazing, but not too shabby either.
