Let the Right One In 2008

Harlequin’s review:
Swedish people are weird, and that's being said with every single little peace of love that my heart contains. From one Scandinavian to another.
I'm all in for weirdness, and Let the Right One In did not disappoint. I am truly in love with this new take on the vampire myth, and that is to be understood the way its said. Oh, am I tired of shiny cuddle buddies!
But then, it seems to be either that.. or freaky mutated monster looking vampy zombies.
There's not much in between.
Enter Eli, a most peculiar girl with a thirst for blood. She is freakishly scary, with her young girl face, and lack of showing any kind of emotion. Even when she's doing the most kind of gestures, she somehow makes them seem odd and grim.
Probably my favorite vampire film of all time.
I think it's my favorite as well. The closest contender for me would be Thirst.
Ditto, Let the Right One In and Thirst are brilliant and my favourites. Good to have such great entries into the vampire mythos in recent years.
Same here. Thirst is my second favorite.
Also, the remake, Let Me In, is one of the better (horror) remakes out there. Sure, it's sort of an unnecessary film, but it's a damn good one.
Never seen Thirst
It's a must see in my opinion.
Indeed it is. Get to it, Harlequin! Just make sure you watch the 2009 version (although the Thirst from 1979 is also worth a watch).
I have looked at the strange cover of it many times, debating whether to watch it or not. In the end, I have always ended up putting it back, and going for something else. I should really stop being so indecisive.
Well, now you know what to do next time you come across it. No more putting it back, OK??
Ok ok ok, I promise!
(The re-make is better;).. )
