Hector Bustnuts’s review:
A surprisingly fun exercise in cheesy excess.
Although Tenant's Peter Vincent stole every scene he was in, it wasn't for lack of the other actor's performances. Yelchin's awkward lead-guy was believable, Toni Collette was great as his mum, Farrell made a great vamp on the prowl. And at least he's attractive, unlike the original's block-headed Chris Sarandon!
And thank the Engineer's that they ditched the slow-dance scene in the nightclub!
Bit of an over-reliance on CG in the end scenes, but maybe I'm still attached to the dodgy puppet-work of the original.
