Louise’s review:
It's actually quite difficult to put into words how brilliant this film is. Charlie Kaufman's real-life struggle to adapt a book with somewhat stale subject matter (sans the der-brain twin brother) is brought to life through an incredible performance by Nicholas Cage. Meryl Streep is fabulous, especially playing off of Chris Cooper's brilliant orchid-fanatic, John Laroche. A half-star is knocked off for the somewhat unrealistic ending, but is seriously worth a watch.
But the unrealistic ending combined with the screenplay credits for the movie are part of why it's so great.
