I'll never forget the pure, teary-eyed fanboy joy my teenage self experienced at seeing Wolverine's berserker rage unleashed on the big screen for the first time. The Mansion siege still ranks as one of the best sequences in any comic book movie. The final 20 minutes suffer from some serious pacing issues (who wanted to see the X-Men fight a bursting dam?) but that can't take away from Singer's other accomplishments.
