I know it's a given, but I'm going to say it anyways; I'm a huge hockey fan. By saying this, I knew that I would enjoy this, but just how much would I enjoy it? From the perspective of a hockey fan, this is an extremely clever film. It's about a lousy, but strong hockey player who starts playing golf because he can hit the ball extremely well. It may sound simple and stupid, but it's hilarious.
Also, as a hockey fan, I love me some good old hockey fights. Yep, there was a fair bit of that, and it made this film way more funny. I love the fight between him and Bob Barker XD. And the fact that Happy has a hockey stick as his putter, is pretty funny and clever.
Adam Sandler is the perfect fit for Happy Gilmore. I was very surprised to see Julie Bowen (Claire from Modern Family) in this film, she was decent in her role. Also, Frances Bay, Christopher McDonald and Carl Weathers, were all very good.
Happy Gilmore is definitely a memorable sports comedy film, I still need to see Slap Shot (Idk why I haven't seen it lol). Anyways, this film is recommendable to anyone who enjoys/understands sports, preferably golf and/or hockey.
