If you liked American Gothic and haven't seen Humongous, I suggest checking it out and the same applies if you've seen Humongous and liked it but haven't seen American Gothic, vice versa, etc, etc. There were quite a few similarities but different enough to be its own movie and enjoyable. Humongous almost reminded me of a Richard Laymon novel, that is, of course, if the son living in the basement on the island was also a perverted rapist.
