Don't get me wrong here, I still really, really enjoyed this movie just not as much as the first two and there are 3 reasons, 1 of which could not be the movie's fault.
1) For a movie about Batman there just wasn't enough Batman.
2) Bane was a crucial, vicious, entertaining villain who we followed more than Batman, I honestly wonder if he had more screen time than the caped crusader? While he was a great villain I think we were robbed of an awesome death/victory scene. He gets blown away by Cat Woman and that's that. Pretty unsatisfying.
3) Now this could just be the movie theater and their sound system but there were scenes where the typical Christopher Nolan, anxiety inducing movie music/sound effects completely drowns out the actors and I couldn't hear a word they were saying. This could also be my slightly aging ears?
Those things aside The Dark Knight Rises was definitely fun and a good way to end the saga.
I disliked this movie more than you, but I totally forgot that Bane got taken out by Catwoman on a motorbike. Just one more reason not to like this finale. I completely agree that there wasn't enough Batman, or anything else interesting. :)
Yeah, I don't know if I want to rewatch it any time soon but Banes death was soooooooo unsatisfying.
Unfortunately, I found the majority of this film unsatisfying.
If I watch this again, I have a feeling I may be with you.
