The Decoy Bride 2012

Watched Jul 01, 2012

What separates this film from the rest of the stupid, predictable, and disgustingly cheesy romantic comedies in the world? Nothing. The best words to describe this film are just that: stupid, predictable, and cheesy. Some romantic comedies still manage to be enjoyable even if they are completely ridiculous and unbelievable, but this isn't one of them. Admittedly, the only reason why I watched this was because David Tennant was in it (me being a Doctor Who fan). But even that wasn't a redeeming factor in The Decoy Bride. In fact, I'm mortified that Tennant accepted this role. It was truly awful. There were a few genuinely amusing bits (like everyone in the town using the male protagonist's book as toilet paper), but that's about as much that can be said for The Decoy Bride.
