There are about a thousand mediocre coming-of-age films that I can think of off the top of my head, but this one is truly a gem. Unlike most movies that fall under this genre, Welcome to the Dollhouse is absolutely hilarious, somewhat twisted and earnest. If you're looking for a light-hearted, inspirational film about growing up, this isn't it. It will, however, have you laughing to the point of tears in some parts. Every moment is genuinely hilarious.
