Jean-Pierre Jeunet misfires magnificently with Alien: Resurrection. Whedon blames a tonal shift between director and writer as to why the film doesn't succeed. I'm not sure I agree with that. I don't necessary want a tongue-in-cheek Alien film anyway. But I do think Jean-Pierre Jeunet isn't the right choice here. I also think the casting is off. Yeah the film sucks :(
