HotDonkeyBear’s review:
In preparation for The Dark Knight Rises I thought I'd give the one Nolan film I hadn't seen, a crack.
A lean thriller, clocking in at 70mins. Naturalistic. Black & White. Ever so slightly wanky (arty).
While I have an appreciation for everything it achieves on a budget of £6000, it does still feel quite "student'y". In places it's reminiscent of Darren Aronoski's debut Pi which was released the same year.
There's a couple nice twisty bits and the Batman insignia on the protagonists front door is a strange thing to behold but on the whole it's all been done before.
Definitely worth a watch but I don't ever feel like I need to go back and visit it again.
