I have always been a big fan of Robert E Howard's Solomon Kane stories. I hoped the film would introduce that character as he deserves.

While James Purefoy does a great job with the Puritan, the threat is two overblown. Made differently this could have been the start of the series they intended.

As it is, I can't see there being a sequel.

Missed opportunity, but fun for a cold night with nothing better to do
