Paul Wilson’s review:
Much better than bruno. not as good as borat
simple sentence sums it up really. his first proper fully scripted tale since the abysmal ali g film. this is a great improvement on his last.
at times very funny and also very offensive with some gags that work very well and a few that don't. i enjoyed myself
cohen is his usual self and he's great in this carrying the whole film again and giving it his all. anna faris doesnt get much to do but is good in her role. John C Reily is a highlight (as usual) with a very memorable cameo appreance full of laughs in a great scene with cohen. Ben Kingsley is a bit wasted to be honest and his role could have been more than what it is
there is one other cameo which made me burst out laughing. i was the only one in my showing who did mind (bloody charlatans) but im sure a few of you will enjoy it
if your a fan of cohen's work it's a must see and the second best film so far that revolves around him and is a credit for that
Informative review! I hope to see this soon.
i was going in ready to hate it. trailer wasn't that good, only made me laugh once but its a great time. some really funny lines and scenes that didnt get in the trailer which helped
