Double Indemnity 1944
1st week of Mystery March Challenge.
They had me at the opening credits. The setting of the action being placed in pre-war '38 leaves me with the impression that they wanted to avoid any connection with the contemporary problems, and I think the public really appreciated the 2 hours of distancing themselves from the order of the day.
It is a fantastic suspence and teeth grinding experience as we watch everything unfold. The action is nothing the viewer can't smell…

Kick-Ass 2010
I think Matthew Vaughn got a little bit nostalgic to bring the yellow Range Rover and half of the cast from Layer Cake, but this is beside the point. He did a great job with this one and I can't wait to see the sequel. Good action flick and for lack of a more inspired word: awesome superhero movie!
