It still surprises me that Take Shelter never hit it big during all the awards hoopla last year, as it was easily one of the best US films to have been released during 2011. It is a slow, but deeply engrossing film anchored by an amazing performance by Michael Shannon as a man plagued with visions of an upcoming storm. Jessica Chastain is also great as the loving wife who is trying her best to take care of her family.…
