it's dated, over the top and peppered with appalling dialogue, but who cares when it's this fun?

Shot by Dmitry Vasyukov and merely post-produced by WH, the film misses those unique Herzogian hallmarks that make these real-life documentaries so engaging.
It's a nice watch, containing fine visual moments and a couple of interesting characters. Nevertheless if documentaries about the edges of civilisation are your bag, then you're better off sticking with Herzog's other work.
The film also doesn't appear to have subtitles for the Russian speakers, featuring instead an annoying American voiceover.
