To the Wonder 2013
Malick still used his style of shooting beautiful frames with beautiful background, little but meaningful gestures and movements. It rarely used an actual dialogue, but most of all used poetic narrations who shows the love triangle story. It’s been said that the actors acted without actual script. And that’s why I thought, editing wise, that the images were pretty generic sometimes, though the narrations told us something big happens.

The Great Gatsby 2013
Beautiful visual and music, and terrific cast sometimes still need X factor. Though Luhrmann really want this movie to be extravagant and mesmerizing, but many times it failed. I felt it such a mess at front, and it didn't used the CGI effect realistically. I however loved Leo's performance, it reminded me of Romeo + Juliet (which I think is better than this movie). I didn't really like Mulligan's role, but her acting capacity perhaps didn't used very well in…

Funny Games 1997
Begin to understand Haneke's specialty; suspense without the help of thrilling backsound or music. Funny Games was annoyingly amazing, horrifying but excellent. Its way of hostage a person using their psychology, more of like bullying the mind. The twists was unexpected, unbelievable but still works. If you love thriller drama, you should see this one.

Stoker 2013
With a regular mind-playing on thriller movies, it lead us to such conclusion that Charlie the uncle is a mysterious and dangerous man. Stoker is actually a simple thriller for its genre and with not many surprises. One thing I love from the movie was the editing and the picture framing.
