Blade Runner 1982 ★★★★★

Rewatched May 02, 2012

Ridley Scott has said have done over 2 hours of commercials in his career, I do think that people play that against him.

But Ridley aside this is not a fluke, this is not something that just happened I mean there’s like 5 cuts of the thing, I think it’s properly got the best opening sequence ever put on film, it’s fucking stunning. And the score is just epic and beautiful, and almost sad in a way.

Storyline is great, six replicants escape from an off-world colony to Earth and ex blade runner Deckard is drawn back into the force to try track down and terminate them …simple, but it’s about so much more, Life, what’s real and what’s just fabrication.

Please watch this film you won’t be able to just watch it once, even if you don’t like it.

  • It was so strange the first time I watched this film, I was mesmerized. The best scene for me was towards the end, well I don't want to give it away to anyone. I'll just say when they are in the rain. It was so peaceful and just beautifully shot.

  • I am not what I would call hardcore sci-fi, but you are absolutely right: I had to watch this multiple times because I enjoyed it so much. Watched on the big screen, too, when it was out as the Director's Cut :)
