Letterboxd — Your life in film

I do this thing of trying to remember the films that I saw when I was little and getting them for my kids to watch, sometimes it goes down like a ton of bricks (teenage mutant ninja turtles) but sometimes you know that you've shown them something that they’re going to watch now a hundred times and have the same memories that you have and that's a truly great feeling.

Eric Bogosian is Barry A derisive talk show host who becomes overwhelmed by the hatred that surrounds his program just before it is about to go national.

Oliver Stone gives us another piece of his view on America gone bad, thru the voice of Eric Bogosian.

Is it just me or is Everyone in this film an arsehole.

I have nothing to do with Vietnam in any way, not one link other then a butch of movies made about this tragic war.

But I like to think that this is as close as it gets to the way it really was. the cast a as a whole are sublime and stand outs Willem Dafoe, Tom Berenger , and Charlie sheen and my favourite John C. McGinley who plays Sgt O'Neill, but everyone is brilliant.

I would recommend it to anyone.

Which is pretty much how I felt watching that film for the for first time, its awe-inspiring stuff and even now watching it you can't help but think that they don't make them like that anymore...not even Spielberg.

I've seen this film about ten times in my life time, I'm 29...sooo I will probably see it another 20 times before I kick it, its that great.

Chris O'Dowd is finds himself as the manager of The Sapphires, talented aboriginal girl group who want to go to Vietnam to sing for the US troops.

A great piece of entertainment that's fresh and fun and the girls are fantastic.

Every hair on my body is still standing on end, I think there should be a health warning on this fucker.
I needed to go to the toilet and had to make an excuse to my wife if she could check the kids while I went so I didn't have to go upstairs on my own...I feel so ashamed.

This film started at the end, worked back to the middle and ended up in fucking nowhere.

CHRIS: "I've killed more people this week then in 6 months since I was made redundant"

TINA: "Redundant, you said you was on sabbatical!"
