Jack Poe’s review published on Letterboxd:
The film that made Katherine Hepburn "box office poison" and the film that made Cary Grant the most sought after leading man in Hollywood. Hepburn does and good job but her character is a little annoying at times and her line delivery is occasionally wooden. I think the press were unkind to Kate. Honestly she didn't really start to hit her stride until Philadelphia Story in 1940. Cary Grant's performance absolutely sparkles, however. Even playing a scoundrel con artist, he lights up the screen. Part of you wants him to end up with the girl and part of you wants to see him saunter off into the sunset alone. It's a sweet film and the added performances by Brian Aherne and Edmund Gwenn really make it worth watching.
