Kyle Mitchell’s review:
I've become a big fan of the Western genre, and I was glad to see Sam Shepard playing an aged Butch Cassidy. The story goes that Butch and Sundance were pronounced dead from the Bolivian government, but Butch actually lives and takes the rest of his life to live in seclusion in the hills of Bolivia.
On news of losing a friend, he decides to ride back to San Francisco to meet with his nephew who just lost his mother. An accidental meeting with a Mining Engineer pairs the two together being chased by unknowns.
The movie was beautifully shot, and kept me wondering what would happen. Its quasi-fictional story was interesting, and well worth the couple of hours it took for the movie to play out.
