The Black Dahlia 2006 ★★★★½

Never mind the stiff acting, this is De Palma's most aesthetically pleasing, morally disturbing film. Goes even farther in its moral probing of film noir than Femme Fatale, with an ending as transgressive as Body Double's and a hundred times more haunting. Drags a bit at times, but nevertheless one of De Palma's best.
