(NOTE: "The Bad Penny" was released in the USA on dvd a few weeks ago under the title "Knockdown")
"Knockdown" was halfway decent, if not a little confusing and weirdly structured right up until the last 15 minutes or so when it completely falls apart and becomes way too pretentious for it's own good.
Casey Evans stars as a former boxer, now living in Bangkok and running a seedy dive bar. The film is told out in non-linear flashbacks as Evans' character recounts recalls important moments in his life to a mysterious visitor in his bar.
Tom Arnold (whose name and face are both front and center on the DVD cover) is only in the film for about 10 to 15 minutes.
It's not a good movie at all but I (kinda) appreciate the fact that it was trying to do something different.
