I wasn't overly taken by the trailer, but I found myself with a free ticket so I gave this a go. Considering I was aware of the budgetary restrictions they had, I was actually mildly impressed with what they managed to pull off.

Sure, it was cheesy, clunky and the some of the set pieces were utterly ridiculous, but to produce CGI like this with a budget that was probably less than the catering budget for John Carter was reasonably impressive.

Clearly not even close to being a good sci-fi film, I certainly think it was more than adequate though.
