Matthias Schoenaerts performance as Jacky is something to behold, Schoenaerts is a giant, a menacing actor, but he shows a vulnerability that contradicts his massive physical presence in the film, making his performance outstanding in many levels.

The film overall is good, it could have use a bit of tightening, pace-wise. but shows the raw talent from 1st time director and writer Michael R. Roskam.
