I've seen very few of these (none of the animated ones) but I would agree with the general ranking, for me it would be :
1) The Dark Knight
2) Batman (1989)
3) Batman Returns
4) Batman Begins
=5) Batman Forever
=5) Batman & Robin
to be fair, I have not re-watch Batman (89) so maybe when I do it will bump up to 2nd..
For me it would be:
1) Batman
2) The Dark Knight
3) Batman Begins
4) Batman Returns
5) Batman Forever
6) Batman & Robin

I have to re-watch Batman now!
The Dark Knight is more than a batman movie is a Batman film, it elevated the character in ways the other films didn't, TDK played outside the box of what batman is or what a batman film should be.. that's why I have it number 1.
