God, I hope The Raid is better than this. Weak story, poor direction, ugly (looks like a bad TV show), horrible acting, self-serious, and the action was really nothing special. I have to stop blind buying these modern martial arts films.
The Raid is very cinematic, excellently paced, and is a MAJOR step up from Merantau. Have no fears, THE RAID is an easy blind-buy (or theatrical trip)
Yeah, I'm not too concerned. Based on the trailers (and the audience response), I have faith!
