    I almost wish the protagonist would have stayed completely silent, as in the first couple of scenes, and let his inner monologue be his dialogue. Has a film ever done that before? I think Bresson should have stuck with that if he really wanted to throw convention out the window.

    I liked the technique of crosscutting the conversations, it was almost like characters were talking to each other from two different scenes. Its a very inventive use of parallel editing.
