Wow. What an odd film. Of course, it's a Terry Gilliam movie, so of course its odd. I like the plot and the way the movie is structured, but I'm not at all sure I really bought the performances. Actually, that's not entirely true, as I feel like Madeleine Stowe handled her role very well. However, Brad Pitt seemed like he was wildly overacting (yes, I know he was insane, but dude, dial it down a little) and Bruce Willis also seemed to be in full scenery chewing mode throughout the film. As a result, since the main actors weren't working for me, the movie didn't work as well as it should have.

Disappointing. Not bad, just not as good as I had hoped.
