Jack’s review:
No wonder this movie is always listed as one of the funniest ever made. It's completely random, it's stupid, it's irrelevant, it's got no character development whatsoever, and it's absolutely hilarious every step of the way.
You really can't keep up with the jokes in Airplane. There's one every 20 seconds and every one is ridiculously funny. They're all really inventive and unique and you'll be saying to yourself "..the Hell?" half of the time with their irrelevance as you roll on the floor with laughter. They're all completely pointless, but every one is really, really good. Not much can be said of the acting because the story and characters only exist to tell the jokes, but everyone plays their role perfectly. Leslie Nielson is amazing as he has some of the funniest jokes in the film, yet he keeps an entirely straight face as he delivers them.
And to be honest, I can't say much more because there really isn't much more to the film. It's a loose story about a plane journey going wrong every step of the way, as an excuse to tell one joke after another. So again, it's like Scary Movie. Except every joke is an absolute hit. If you haven't seen this film before, go see it ASAP. It hasn't dated one bit, and it's still one of the greatest comedy films ever made for a reason.
The fogs getting thicker, and leons gets laaarrgggerr!
