I saw the original MiB a few days ago. Tonight I saw this ill-scripted sequel, and well, the difference is HUGE.

Smith does an okay job, but I was saddened to see Tommy Lee Jones looking very absent-minded. He has aged quite a bit, but that's not all. I actually thought he might be ill. I couldn't recognize the ultracool agent he embodied 15 years ago at all.

My guess is, they wrote a time-travelling script as a solution to this, to limit Jones' screentime without cutting him out of the story.

What remains is a quite random story. One of the many storylines you could come up with for a sequel, with a few nice gags, but not even close to the original. Even the special effects looked cheap.
