Flawed but has some wonderful moments. I think the longer that I am away from the movie the better it has settled with me. I kind of wish that the short animated bit has been not ended up on the cutting room floor.

Went into this knowing had had been poorly reviewed.
And yes, it is a big disappointment......tones switches from being silly to sappy and sentimental. I don't know if Clooney was going for the tone of some silly 40s farce combined with a sentimental war movie and it got mixed up into a bad film, or what happened here. I suggest one find a book or documentary on this subject (which is fascinating) if you want to learn about these men and their quest to save the great artworks of Europe at close of WWII.

Brilliant acting by Oyelowe. A solid important film about a significant event in US history. There has been much discussion about the misrepresentation of the relationship between MLK and LBJ in the film. I believe that the film should be viewed as the perspective that DuVerney is taking in depicting this historical event in a movie.

This is an extremely timely film given what is currently happening in the US.

Having good been born one year after these events, I was glad I saw this with my mother and was able to hear her remembrances of this time.

Somewhat uneven. Those intimately familiar with the stage production will probably be disappointed as this movie adaptation has less sex and violence. It is cleaned up to make it more Disney family friendly though dark undertones are still present.

All the performances were solid. The two child actors were really well cast. Emily Blunt was a delightful surprise. The two princes' duet of "Agony" was good campy fun. Chris Pine really turned on the smarmy charm. The CGI giants were pretty lame.

Great performances and chemistry between Duplass and Moss. Kind of 'misses' at the end but I still think it is worth viewing. Do go in cold to this - the less known, the better.

On the day he is set to celebrate his 100th birthday Allan decide to leave the old-folks home and finds his way into one last adventure. Much like his life, things happen through chance. He does not plot out the course of his live. (He really only plots where his next drink is coming from.) Interspersed with his centenarian adventure are flashbacks to the adventures earlier in his life. Yes, it is delightfully darkly comedy. Be prepared to laugh your…

The people part - not so great. Cheezy family stuff. Some wasted talent.
