John Carpenter's Films - Ranked.
A ranked list of John Carpenter's films in order from best to worst in my opinion. Haven't seen them all yet, but will update as i do. Feel free to share you're own rankings.
List view will show you my personal rating for each film, and ill hopefully get reviews up soon. Only ones reviewed yet are The Ward, Vampires, In the Mouth of Madness, Big Trouble in Little China and Halloween.
Iv'e yet to see Dark Star, Assault on Precinct 13, Starman, and Memoirs of an Invisible Man. (And maybe two TV movies). If any one would like to reccomend their favorite from that list, i will happily watch and review it next.
(I should note the ratings could change, but most likely won't.)

For myself it would have to be Big Trouble in Little China as this is on my guilty pleasures list, would like to see what you make of it.
Yes, i've been meaning to watch that for ages now, but i'll make a point to get around to it very soon.
Kurt is almost always great, especially with Carpenter (Except L.A.), so i'm looking foward to it.
What the heck is Escape From New York not doing in Carpenter's top two (together with The Thing)?

Haha, they're fairly similar lists. Halloween is just a classic in my eyes, whilst i'll forever love Sam Neill and In the Mouth of Madness. Don't get me wrong Escape was great, i just prefer those other 4. Still top 5 though!
Great list! Yeah you definitely need to see Big Trouble in Little China. I also really love Starman.
Thanks! Yep i will aim to watch it in the next couple of days, then i'll get a review up too.
Nice list! I gotta watch more of Carpenter's work ... haven't seen everything (only seen about 8 of his films), but I have recently seen more of his work ... "THEY LIVE" needs to be Top 3 ... ; )
Love that film!!!

Carpenter's #1 for me so far - "HALLOWEEN". It's a masterpiece beyond words. Here are my Carpenter rankings thus far.

@Gumby Thanks, Nice list too! Yeah i too haven't seen everything yet. I do like They Live a lot, just not quite as much as those above it.
For me, The Thing comes out on top by quite a way, Halloween is indeed a classic, whilst Mouth of Madness is just pure insanity - my kind of film.
