List by Josh Keown Pro
My Top 75 Vampire Movies of All Time.
This is a list of my personal top 75 films of all time featuring vampires. They are in order, but boy, was it difficult. The order could change, though this is generally the order i stick to. I understand not everyone is going to agree with my ratings, so do feel free to share your own. Debating and sharing is what this site is for, after all.
As always, reccomendations are more than welcome. If there are any you know of that i haven't got, but you believe should be here, let me know.
(List view shows my rating for each, as well as a link to those i've reviewed to date.)

It is indeed. Pretty darn cool. The only issue i had was with the main bad guy. Didn't like him at all.
More often than not, the films i rate 7 are the ones that i can watch over and over. Whilst they may not be the best, they're usually a lot of fun. Stakeland is one such film.
I compiled a similar list and it seems you are missing Valerie and Her Week of Wonders, Black Sabbath (although only one story involves vampires), Vampire Circus and Vampire's Kiss.
From Dusk Till Dawn at 24?! It's my fave!
@ Del Boy I bought it on DVD to try out. Watch it loads now.
@Adam I have seen Valerie and Her Week of Wonders and Vampire Circus, but will need a rewatch to determine whether they would get on my list.
Black Sabbath will be added, i forgot that one. It's better than quite a few of the bottom films actually.
As for Vampire's Kiss, i have seen it, but didn't really like it. Thanks for the recommendations!
@DriveFiction, i liked it well enough, and its awful good fun. I'm a big fan of any film touched by Tarantino. In my opinion, though, the others are of a higher quality. But for entertainment value, its excellent.
*Updated to 75.
Hmm. Surely JOHN CARPENTER'S VAMPIRES is a more entertaining film that the abomination that was UNDERWORLD 2?
Glad to see CAPTAIN KRONOS and MARTIN on there.
I have not seen LET ME IN. That's the one with Hit Girl as the vampire, right?
@Derrick haha, whilst Vampires probably is more fun, i would say Underworld Evolution is a bit better, but it's all down to personal taste.
Martin is easily one of Romero's best, besides his first two zombie films. Kronos is hugely underrated, i thought it was rather good.
And yes Let Me In features Hit Girl! She's pretty great, but it's nowhere near as good as the original Swedish film though.
@Josh -- I think Underworld 1 is brilliant. Two is trash. Three is watchable. Four is plotless but friggin awesome. (I need to make a guilty pleasures list)
Kronos and Martin are both great because they do something different with the vampire model. Martin: We don't even know if there ARE vampires. Kronos: They steal your lifeforce, not your blood. Plus, Kronos is a badass -- I use his name on some forums.
@Derrick i'm the other way round, i enjoyed the first, found the second watchable and the third one garbage! Agree with you on the fourth though. It was brainless, but good fun.
Yep, you have to love a film with a little ambiguity, it really gets you thinking. Kronos is indeed a badass, the sad thing is most people don't even know about him! Well, the people i know sure don't, anyway.
Do you know the title of I think a B/W flick where a guy runs into a gypsy/female fortune teller's like old horse drawn wagon type of thing and begs to have her do the tarot cards, she does and he gets the death card but doesn't want to show him but does, actually it might just be the ace of spades not tarot cards, anyhow I know it isn't Nightmare Alley. I saw the scene in childhood and have been told it was a vampire but I'm not sure. : )
@BangPotential I'm not too sure, so can't really help you there. Could it be Vampyr (5th on the list)? That's a black and white silent, but I haven't seen it in so long I couldn't accurately tell you. The Phantom Carriage maybe?
Thanks, for replying. I'll check those out. Wasn't much to go on was it!
No problem! Both are great films from what I can remember, so are well worth checking out anyway.
