I expected this movie to be awful, and I was not disappointed. The acting is pretty bad, the characters have the depth of baking pan filled with water, the story could not possibly be any simpler and the special effects are second-rate.
But amid its general awfulness, its actually a pretty fun movie.
Alien is a movie about people looking for a cat named Jones while being stalked by the perfect killing machine. I don't know what's so special about Jones that people are constantly risking their lives to save his furry orange behind, but it certainly makes for a thrilling couple of hours.

In all honesty, I wasn't sure what to expect from Flight. I like Denzel Washington, and think that Robert Zemeckis is a competent enough filmmaker. Sadly, with the exception of the plane crash sequence, Flight is tedious at best and boring at worst.
