Here's a list of movies I could not finish.
I walked out of the theater, stopped the DVD player, or exited out of Instant Watch because I couldn't take it anymore.
Great list. Many of these I never got to because I was afraid I'd feel the same way and now I know I don't need to waste my time.
Donkey Punch I have not attempted, but I'm sort of done with sick stuff. No desire to subject myself to a movie anymore. Now, I want something I'll enjoy otherwise I don't want to waste my valuable time.
Julien always seemed batshit nuts and I hated Kids, so I dodged it.
HA, I hopped into Joe's Apartment and stayed. You made the right choice. For some reason I stayed thinking I should have enjoyed it, but that never happened.
Ghost Rider I never tried. Now I know not to bother. I heard Friday Night Lights was good, but if it's choppy I won't waste my time. Heard the series is even better. No real desire to try it.
I think I tried Pret a few times, because I got into Altman with The Player (that reminds me to edit my list with that) and gave him a chance, but never got through the whole thing either.
Super Troopers, Harry Potter and Transformers - I got all the way through. I enjoyed Troopers, but maybe you have to see it in the right setting. Harry Potter is the only one on here I enjoyed. I followed the series, never read a book except the last one and had to ask Beck a few questions, but after re-watching them all from the beginning before the last one, I think the films do stand on their own. And I like ferries and wizards, I suppose. Transformers 3, I'm sad to say, I saw in the theater. Heard too many good things about the 3D and wanted to give it a shot. I have to say, every single Michael Bay movie I have seen in the theater I have nearly walked out of. And this is not me being some snob, trying to pretend like I don't like it, his sense of humor is HORRIBLE, he has no sense of style or design or coherence or anything redeeming. The only thing he does is hooks people with the promise of something Big and Awesome. But I am never invested, never even laugh and am always bored. He is truly one of the worst filmmakers working today. He makes these things that sort of look cool,…
I agree with you on 9 on these movies. Buy walking out, you were spared a grave injustice. Yet HARRY POTTER: PRISONER OF ASKABAN is one of the best in the series...and ENEMY OF THE STATE is fun. Would you believe READY TO WEAR was the last ever film I saw with my immediate family?
I kind of liked DONKEY PUNCH.
I don't know which HARRY POTTER film it was - the titles all sound the same to me. Which one was part 4?
GOBLET OF FIRE...which is my least favorite.
Okay - changing it to GODBLET OF FIRE just to make it official.
*GOBLET They really need to give you the ability to delete comments on here. It's a beta though. So in time.....
Curious how it'll be once beta is done.
HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE is actually my favorite of the films. Give it another chance John just for Ralph Fiennes, who was excellent as Voldemort whenever he appeared through the rest of the series.
I haven't seen all of these movies, but the ones I have seen I did finish except for JULIEN DONKEY BOY. I turned that shit off pretty fast.
I was really amped for DOMINO, but it blew.
I agree with Don that Michael Bay is one of the worst. I don't know why I waste my time sitting through two and a half hour Transformers movies.
Only saw PELHAM 123 because I'm a huge fan of the original. I didn't expect much from it and got exactly what I expected to get out of it - nothing.
THE WOLFMAN, AvP REQUIEM, 16 BLOCKS, 2012, and READY TO WEAR were just bad movies.
