When I wrote this list over a year ago, I was still high on the overwhelming experience of seeing Aronofsky's Black Swan, but since then I've seen Nolan's Inception approximately 4000 times, so I'm swapping them. Sorry Darren. I've also fiddled with some of the numbers lower down (I wasn't giving Joanna Hogg's well-observed drama Archipelago the credit it deserved), and removed Megamind in favour of the far-superior How To Train Your Dragon. What the hell was I thinking?
